National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Friday visitedSrinagar, where he spent nearly 2 hours in the city. During his visit, Dovalalso interacted with local and troops and had lunch with the CRPF personnel.

Earlier, NSA Ajit Doval had instructed the security forcesin Jammu and Kashmir to ensure common people are not harassed in any mannerduring the current tight restrictions imposed in the wake of abrogation ofconstitutional provisions that accorded special status to the state, officialssaid Thursday.

The officials said that before returning to Delhi onWednesday, Doval had emphasised that common people should not face hardships.Hedirected the state officials to ensure that the life of common people was freeof any problems. Doval went to Shopian in south Kashmir and met local peopleand talked to them on Wednesday.

 He also interactedwith police and paramilitary forces on the ground to keep their morale high indoing their duty for the nation.
